Shark Attack Caught Live On Camera

During a surfing competition in Jeffrey's Bay, South Africa, Mick Fanning had to fight off a shark, while everything was captured on TV. While Fanning was waiting for his first wave of the final, he didn't notice a fin surfacing behind him. Only as the shark came up right behind him, did he try to paddle away. Just as the attack took place, a wave hid Fanning from view and the shocked commentators were left speechless. One of them couldn't contain himself and whispered "holy sh*t."

Luckily rescue boats were on the scene quickly to transport Fanning, unscathed, to safety. He was crearly shaken up. Fanning said that he felt something dragging him under water and that he only got away once his leg rope broke. He is one lucky surfer.
