School Discovers Something Incredible Behind Its Chalkboard

Tasked to remove the current chalkboards at Emerson High School in Oklahoma City, discovered something incredible: messages from students of almost a century ago.

Apparently back in 1917, when new chalkboards were installed, they just fitted it over the old ones, without going through the trouble to erase what was on it at the time. This means that schoolwork and drawings created by teachers in the 1917's were left untouched, giving us a glimpse in every day school life of children of almost a 100 years back.

The drawings are incredibly detailed and it is amazing that their brightness have been preserved through all these years - their colors still pop. A common theme throughout the classes seems to have been the Pilgrims, with some of the pieces displaying excellent penmanship. Have a look at the video and decide for yourself.
