This is a non-fictional account of the Club Kid scene in New York. It's quite entertaining in itself, but deeply disturbing when you stop and realize it is real.
There's also a movie called Party Monster, starring Macaulay Culkin and Seth Green.

I want this book so very badly. I adored that movie, and the documentary as well.
The Limelight reopened when I lived in NY and I used to go all the time because there was a saturday night thing run by my friend's boyfriend's sister's husband. Yes.
Alas, I discovered on my recent trip back that it was bought out by the stupid Avalon (lame ass trendy techno house stupid eurotrashy club in boston) and so the Limelight is no more.
It was such a wonderfully cool place, too. (With such an interesting/tragic history.)
sigh. _________________ ****Encyclopedia Bowica****
