Rereading the entire Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series, read only while high.

The Great Gatsby, most of which I read one afternoon while bored, but haven't had the time to go back and finish yet.

Rereading T.H. White's The Once and Future King, but haven't gotten too far due to insufficient attention span.

Heinlein's The Green Hills of Earth, a collection of short stories that so far pretty much resemble everything else I've ever read by Heinlein.

Is my favorite book ever.

Reading, for school: Jude the Obscure (again) and Their Eyes Were Watching God (again...will English professors ever pick anything new?).

For fun: A Portrait of Yo Mama as a Young Man by Andrew Barlow and Kent Roberts.

Yikes. Too much. Head hurts.

I've moved on to an author I never have to use too much brain power on. Michael Crichton.

Passion is a Fashion: The Real Story of the Clash by Pat Gilbert.

I'm almost at the end of my non-fiction bender, and will soon start a fiction run. Consisting of a lot of YA-type stuff.

Lullaby by Chuck Palahniuk.

Going to attempt to plough through it this evening, so that I can begin reading 1984.

The most recent book I finished was The Right Stuff by Tom Wolfe. Weird writing style, but a great book.[/i]

Chuck Palahniuk is really horrifyingly bad. Just finished "Snuff" since it was the only book in the airport book shop besides "Sushi for Beginners", a bizarre selection.

Since early Thursday morning, I've been speeding right through the first two Dexter books. Not 2 hours ago, I went to my nearest Barnes and Noble and bought the last two.

Currently on #3, Dexter in the Dark. I'm not far enough into it to feel good about calling it, so I'll let you guys know when I do.

Just finished Thank You for Smoking by Christopher Buckley, and now feel like I need to see the movie. Also reading Stiff by Mary Roach in short bursts, which I think is fine for the subject.

About 50 pages into The Bell Jar.

1. Do not read Dexter in the Dark. If you wish, continue with Dexter by Design, but skip the third book.

Rereading The God of Small Things.

finished a re-read of stephanson's "cryptonomicon". noticed something scarey whilst reading it - so many references to parts of "system of the world". by which i mean.........various landmarks whose names are explained in system, and the sheer amount of thought this implies he puts into his writing.

also -on a stross binge. computers, higher math, "the office", and lovecraft. oh, and james bond. emma and murph should read em.
