I was born almost exactly 9 months after my parents' 13th wedding anniversary. I guess they didn't know 13 years means rubber.

I met a girl at a house party my friend James was hosting. She was one of those 'friend of a friend' type girls who I'd seen at various gigs before but just never formally introduced myself. We got talking on the stairs for much of the night (the best parties always take place on the stairs, as you're always constantly halfway between a bedroom or the kitchen pending on which way things work out) and before the end of the night we were trying to find an unoccupied bedroom for a bit of privacy. Walked into a pitch black room, couldn't find the switch so manouvered clumsily to the bed, and after a while basically got down to it. Alcohol has always been my friend when it comes to sex, I usually last a lot longer if I'm tipsy (not plastered) even to the point where I can try more than one position! It was at that point I noted the walls were strangely soft... in fact, they were pillowy soft, padded you might say..

Of course, padded walls are essential when the purpose of the bedroom is to house an 8 year old autistic child. Luckily for us, he was staying with his aunt that night due to the party, and not sitting staring at us from the corner of the room.
