I know you can open my computer, go into the i-pod, and get the files from there. The problem is, all of the AAC audio files have 4 letter names, and thus I can't tell which songs are which. Is there a way to find out more of the info?

Well friends, I love ipod so much. I am planning on getting an Ipod video mainly so I can watch movies and stuff while I'm traveling this summer (I already have an ipod nano). I was just wondering if there is anything better then the ipod video? Also does the ipod touch work the same way as the the ipod video. Is there anything better the the Ipod video? Thanks a lot.

If you open the files in a program they should still have their data encoded into them. So XHRG will be the file name, but it'll register as "Blue Oyster Cult - Godzilla" when opened.

Then comes the arduous task of opening, checking the file data, and renaming them over and over. If they don't have file data, which they should, you have the more fun task of listening to the song and then renaming the data that way.

I used my iPod as a back-up once and it can take a while to rename everything, let me tell you.

I use GTKpod and it lets me browse and transfer files back to my computer, along with putting files onto the iPod and playing them.

Kaching. Turns out all of it was still on my computer in an old file anyway, none of it got wiped off in the first place, after all the fucking effort I went to. One of those things that makes you want to just slump on the floor and cry.

I have a Video Ipod and the headphone jack just messed up for no reason, and sound only works on one headphone. There nothing wrong with the headphones because i tried another pair. I sent it in for repair today because it is under warranty. Its only 3 months old. My question is, will they just replace the headphone jack, or give me a new Ipod? I sent in my Ipod Nano once because the screen was messed up (not cracked) and they sent me a brand new Ipod instead of putting in a new screen. That would be awesome if they gave me a new Ipod Video because mine has a bunch of scratches on it *hearty chuckle*......soo does anyone know?
