Last year, up until about a month after we joined R&M, Seth and I rented a house with a couple other people. I just found some pictures of it, and remembered that it was a fucking awesome and incredible place. I miss it quite a lot.

Front of the house. Check out that porch.

Here's one side. That bay window was in the dining room, and had a built-in seat which opened up to become the perfect place to store bodies.

You can't see much of the interior in this shot, but you can see me and my then-girlfriend, albeit blurrily.

The fact that she was named Alex was the source of much amusement. Of course, a couple weeks after this picture was taken we broke up for no good reason. Then I got both mono and strep throat at the same time. And my cat ran away.

That's sad.

I HAD MONO AND STREP AT THE SAME TIME TOO!

but i also had a kidney that was on the fritz. and it hurt to peeeeeee.

then, because i was on a gazillion antibiotics, which is bad when you have mono, i had the true mono-tastic reaction. my entire body was covered in a rash and my face was puffy.

so then i was hopped up on more drugs ^_______________________________________^

the house is super super nice. i wants to be on the west coast. not the east ;_;

Yeah, that house had 3 bedrooms, was about 1200 sq. ft., and was just a couple blocks from all the shops and things downtown. It was also conveniently close to campus. The price? $950 a month.

I think it's more dead than mowed.

No, that yard was recently mowed. I don't think we mowed it more than three times in the 10 months we lived there.

virgil, when i went to sacramento a few years ago, i remember seeing brown yards. many of them. now, whether that's from a drought or people failing to take care of their lawns, i don't know. but it was over 100F a few days i was there, and it was super dry.

OH MY GOD GUYS GUESS what

Our basement has been flooding for months!

Today, I thought, "Hey, maybe it's because we don't have gutters?"

SO WE GOT SOME GUTTERS ISN'T THAT COOL?

I'm going to install them on Wednesday.

Double house!

The first house I rented was a massive four bedroom at $1600 a month. I had several roommates, in which turned out to be freaks and do freaky things like drink their girl friend's blood by the fireplace.

That's suck-ramento. Not part of the LA water district.

Not to mention that the west has been in varying degrees of drought for about a decade.

And I have always been able to take long showers and the lawns have always been green here. Knowing how to manage water is great!!!*

Now we're grilling while sitting in the pool, drinking brew dogs, and watching the Sopranos.

In the interest of science, you should drop that TV, still plugged in, into the hot tub while one of your friend's in it.

For science.

I meant to post these a while ago, when I posted them on my LiveJournal. The last one is the view from my apartment.
