No idea who I'm addressing this to...

The signature's maximum size is based on number of characters.

Now, whereas this stops anyone making a signature comprised of a page of writing, it also stops those of us wishing to post images, however tiny, from sites - ie. me. [grin.]

This may be a little self centred of me if no - one else has a problem with this, and signatures aren't exactly necessary, but I thought I'd make the suggestion of getting rid of that little piece of code that restricts number of characters.

Were anyone to pull that "page of writing in sig" trick, we could just do the ol' "shrink it or prepare to have it deleted" bit.

Good idea? Bad idea? Testicles should be nailed to a crucifix idea?

Or is everyone going to get miffed at all my little .gifs?

I believe the Rum Monkeys have a problem with there being too many images (as well as large images) in the signature.

My problem with the size is that I can't use as many colors as I would like to, but I deal as I understand.

It's a bandwidth issue. And also, we don't like big signatures; they detract from the actual posts.

I just keep reworkign mine. Word has a nice littlethign called word count, which also counts characters.

Eventually, I'll probably just make another page, and put a link to it im my sig, but I was able to fit the bunny cult in my most recent update.

Sigs should be kept short. Huge images suck. Trust me. I know. It sucks to see some massive pic appearing every 8cm. Don't change it Ben!

Have you ever been to FuckSociety? They have annoying big signatures 'cause they use huge pics. I'd go insane if I saw that here.

They've reduced the size. [grin.]

They've just reinstalled registration there now, got a wave of newbies...
