one day one of my classes was in the library doing research..and my teacher caught me on this site versus doing research.. and he took a look at it, and he said he has less of a prolem being on this site instead of a gameing site or something. He took a look around at the webpage and started talking to me about it. He didn't mind me not doing work.
He thinks this place would be a positive educational influence...

then again.. i don't think he got a look at random spleen....

R&M is ..../kinda/ blocked on our school, for being entertainment. However we can use half an hour iof quota time on it, and it doesn't seem to, be er, limited whatsoever.

Theoretically, one should not be doing non-academics-oriented browsing and whatnot on the school computers at Stuy.

But in practice, absolutely nothing is blocked.

At work they used to remove all the games from the computers, and they could never figure out how I managed to go back in and add them again. Apparently Add/Remove Programs was more complicated than they could handle. Did I mention I work for a computer company?

games are for all! And I loe that add/remove thing.

The computers at my school have everything disabled. the start menu only contains help and my documents, my computer only has your space, and the school shared drives, floppy and cdrom, and all the programs/files you can run are restricted.

I haven't tried going on R and M at the internet because the connection is so fucking slow. But if you do try to go on a banned site, this horn sounds and everybody looks and shouts that you're trying to go on porn.

r + m is restricted at my school as well. Someone I know has got the password to unlock it but I can just never be arsed to get it from him. I'm sure its only blocked because of the word rum.

It isn't blocked on my school, even though it blocks google's image search, even if you put the filter on google on strict.
