its more of a failsafe to have the default be female, since 1 male +100 females=100 babies, whereas 1 female +100 males=1 baby. so the whole "men need women" argument is useless, as women need men just as much.

and for that matter, yes the Y gene is very similar to the x. but, what it does, is cause the male to develop parts of the body that DO affect how the brain grows, and physical features.

I think that in general, women are smarter.

there are some smart men, and some smart women, and plenty of stupid people in both categories. there have been more "genius" men, but i don't think the system of education has been equal for long enough for this to mean anything.

I declare that women are smarter than men because in a house of five guys and three other girls, I'm the only one who figured out how to use a "broken" washer.

How do you measure smartness? In terms of school, I think I read somewhere that women are getting better grades and the number of female applicants that are accepted to grad schools and med schools have increased and surpassed the male applicants. Therefore, women are smarter than men.

Strength wise, females are also catching up. Female Olympic athletes have been showing more improvement than males. Statistically speaking, female athletes will perform better - running faster and jumping higher than male athletes in a century or so.

Oh, also developmentally speaking, female is the default sex to be. All babies start out being females, and males become males only because their fundamentally female program of development is overruled in presence of the Y chromosome (which is suspected to be the evolutionary result of a defective X chromosome). Therefore, female is the superior sex. Not to mention the female body looks so much better naked than the male body.
