Anyone have any suggestions for a super cheap laptop?
All I want is to be able to read news articles online so the specs can be the bottom of the barrel. Though it does need to be able to connect to my wireless network.
Anyone know where I can find some deals? Knoxville's Craigslist fails.

I just bought an HP Pavilion 6815 for $630 (though that was on sale at Best Buy) after my old laptop died like a sonofabitch. I don't need it for anything more than basic office/looking up shit online, but it's twice as everything as what I had been using.
As of day 2, I am pleased with it, though I forgot how long it takes to put every CD I own on this shit.

My parents got my sister's Acer from Walmart for $360, but it was during xmas. Right now, expect to pay at least $450. Newegg has EEE PCs starting at $300. That's all I can think of for new laptops.

How do I connect a my brother laptop to my computers internet? I have windows xp and I am connected directly to a modem and I have comcast as my ISP. My brother has Vista on his laptop. Is there way he can connect to my computer with a phone chord? If i goes from my computer to his laptop? And I also tried connecting his laptop straight to my modem and unplugged mine. Can someone maybe give me some assistance?

Hi. I've been surfing the web and your site looks interesting.
I'm looking for a cheap, notebook. Like the Acer or EEPC. Walmart had an Acer for almost $400 bucks. I'm looking for something small that can fit in a bag and I can take places and have access to the internet etc.
Any ideas?
